Payouts Templates

Easily recreate your payouts using Streamflow's payout templates.

Updated this week

Overview

Managing recurring payments for team salaries, contributor rewards, or recurring grants is now even simpler. Payout Templates allow you to save a specific set of recipients and payment amounts, enabling you to recreate an entire payout campaign in a single click.

Key Benefits

  • One-Click Recreation: Instantly load complex payroll lists without re-entering data or re-uploading files.

  • Dynamic Updating: Easily adjust your template as your team grows or payment amounts change.

  • Reduced Errors: Minimize the risk of manual entry mistakes by using a pre-verified configuration.

  • Flexible Management: Search through your library of templates to find exactly what you need for different departments or projects.

Creating a Template

You can create a template during the standard payout setup process:

  1. Prepare your Payout: Add your recipients manually or via file import (CSV).

  2. Toggle "Save as template" and name your Template: Before finalizing, switch the Save as template toggle to the 'on' position. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Core Team Payroll" or "Q3 Marketing Rewards") to help your team identify it later.

  3. Confirm: Once the payout is initiated, your configuration is automatically stored in your template library.

Using a Template

To use a previously saved configuration:

  1. Navigate to the Payouts section.

  2. Click the Create new and then Use template button on the main dashboard.

  3. Select & Search: Choose your desired template from the list. You can use the search bar to quickly find specific templates.

  4. Apply: Click Save to populate the payout list with your saved recipient data.

Updating & Managing Templates

Streamflow gives you full control over your templates so they stay up-to-date with your organization's needs:

  • Update on the fly: If you use a template and then make changes (such as adding a new recipient or changing an amount), you can toggle Update template to save these changes to the active version.

  • Reset Changes: If you’ve modified a payout but want to revert back to the original template values, click the Reset icon (circular arrow) located above the recipient list.

  • Delete Templates: To remove an old configuration, click the Use template button and select the Trash icon next to the template you wish to delete.

Create a Payout

To start using Streamflow for your payroll needs, head to the Payouts section of the app. More details on How to create a Payout can be found in this gude: https://docs.streamflow.finance/en/articles/12639721-create-a-payout

You can upload a CSV of recipients or add them manually, review the batch, and confirm your transactions. Once approved, Streamflow automates the disbursements, giving you a transparent, efficient, and Web3‑native payroll experience.
