Sybil Checker

A Sybil check detects when one entity controls multiple wallets, helping prevent abuse in airdrops, voting, or token activities.

Updated over a week ago

A Sybil check analyzes wallet addresses to detect cases where one entity controls multiple wallets. This helps you identify and block potential abuse in airdrops, voting, or other token-based activities.

How does it work?

To run a Sybil check, upload a CSV file with up to 100,000 wallet addresses, select the token you want to analyze, and complete the payment. Our system will then automatically check wallet activity and connections based on your selected settings. Once the analysis is complete, you’ll be able to download a CSV report summarizing the findings.

What you will get:

When the analysis is complete, you’ll be able to download an Excel file with a clear summary of the results.

  • Flagged wallets identified as potentially sybil.

  • Connections showing how wallets are linked through transfers, shared funders, or exchanges.

  • Activity insights such as the number of transfers, shared funding sources, and key timestamps.

  • Detection method indicating how each wallet was first flagged.

How do we do it?

When we run a Sybil check, we look at several factors to ensure the results are accurate and relevant.

  • Threshold defines the maximum number of wallets that can be linked to a single entity before it’s flagged as suspicious.

  • Timeframe focuses the analysis on a specific period of activity so we can capture the most relevant behavior for your use case.

  • Automation ensures the entire process runs automatically, once your request is submitted, we perform the analysis and notify you when your downloadable report is ready.

  • Transfer limit places a cap on the number of transfers we consider for each wallet. This helps prevent abuse and keeps the analysis focused on meaningful activity patterns.

How to check a CSV for sybils?

  1. Select a token and upload a CSV file containing wallet addresses.

    • Each row must contain one wallet address.

    • The file must include at least 10 and up to 100,000 addresses.

  2. Once you request the Sybil check, a record of the check will appear in your Sybil Checker dashboard.

  3. From the dashboard, click the download icon to get the results as an .xlsx file.

  4. Open the .xlsx file to review the results.

    • If sybil wallets were detected, they will be clearly highlighted in the file.
